Brussels, the capital of Belgium, hosted an extraordinary athletics competition last night where new records were set. With just a week to go until the final season of the World Championships in Budapest, Russell and Dos Santos shone in the field. Russell won the ۱۰۰ meters hurdles with a time of ۱۲.۲۰ seconds, achieving a record of ۱۲ victories out of ۱۲ competitions this season. He said, "This victory is very valuable to me, especially in my first time in Brussels."
In the absence of Karsten Warholm from Norway, Dos Santos led the ۴۰۰ meters hurdles from start to finish, breaking the old record of the competition with a time of ۴۶.۷۰ seconds.

In the ۲۰۰ meters, Kenny Bednarek reached his record with a time of ۱۹.۶۲ seconds, and Tina Clayton secured first place in the ۱۰۰ meters with ۱۰.۹۲ seconds. Meanwhile, Rajindra Campbell from Jamaica set a new national record in the shot put with a throw of ۲۳.۰۸ meters, joining the ranks of the few athletes in history who have surpassed this mark.
In the women's ۱۵۰۰ meters, Klaudia Kazimierska from Poland set a new national and world record with a time of ۳:۵۴.۰۵ minutes, astonishingly breaking the previous record of Faith Kipyegon. In the hammer throw, Hana Moll improved her personal record with ۴.۹۱ meters, and finally, Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage from Sri Lanka was recognized as the first Diamond League champion from his country in the hammer throw.
