Key Agreements in the Field of Energy

One of the achievements of this trip was the signing of a framework cooperation agreement in the field of energy (Phase Four) with Siemens Germany. This agreement will particularly impact the development of energy infrastructure and improve Iraq's electricity production capacity. Al-Zaydi also met with the CEO of Siemens and his accompanying delegation, emphasizing the importance of industrial and technical cooperation between the two countries.

In France, Al-Zaydi signed several memorandums of cooperation, including a declaration of readiness between the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the artificial intelligence company Hartmann. Additionally, a cooperation statement aimed at enhancing opportunities for youth, research and innovation, and a cooperation protocol regarding the supply and sale of gas with TotalEnergies were among other significant agreements.

This trip not only focused on economic and energy issues but also included media and economic meetings. Al-Zaydi met with the CEO of TotalEnergies, the President of Rothschild Bank, and several heads of major French companies. These meetings were aimed at strengthening trade relations and investment between Iraq and France.
