China is working to introduce itself as a stabilizing force in global politics. Rex Li, a professor of international relations at King's College London, stated in an interview about China's role in international conflicts that the country is seeking to promote an alternative international security order. These remarks come as the global community is looking for ways to resolve existing crises in the Middle East and other regions.
China and a Constructive Role in the Middle East
Rex Li emphasized that China is increasingly willing to play a larger role in ending conflicts in the Middle East. However, he criticized the lack of specific proposals from Beijing in this regard, stating, "We have yet to see any concrete plan from China to resolve conflicts in this region." According to him, China's actions must align with international expectations to be recognized as a constructive force.

China faces multiple challenges in achieving its goals. One of the most significant challenges is building trust among other countries and garnering their support for proposed plans. Li also emphasized the importance of regional and international cooperation, stating, "China must demonstrate its ability to collaborate with other countries to be an effective player in global politics."
